About Doug Johnson Designations ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), e-Pro (Electronic, and Internet Technology Professional) Member of REBAC (Real Estate Buyers Agency Council) and Member of National, State and Whatcom County Association of REALTORS Starting his business career in Seattle in the 1970's after attending 2 Colleges and graduating from the Ron Baillie School, where he studied broadcasting, and advertising, Doug worked as the field service manager, and as company manager, for two different transportation companies over the next ten years. Doug moved from Seattle to Whatcom County in 1982 looking for a lifestyle change. He built, and remodeled houses in many areas of Whatcom County. Switching to Real Estate sales in 1995, he worked as both a sellers' agent, and a buyer's agent in residential, and commercial transactions. Doug has worked for people from several different countries, in diverse transactions, including a re-zone on a commercial property that went before the County Council. His easy-going style, and ability to get along with everyone, coupled with his Real Estate experience, sets other agents at ease in negotiations. Always looking for a win-win deal, where everyone walks away from the table satisfied they got fair treatment, is second to only those fiduciary responsibilities he owes his clients. Knowing it is not what you can see, but what you can't see in a property that can cause problems, Doug has learned how, and where to seek all the information on zoning, easements, land use, neighborhoods, schools, and how to find the right consultants, such as engineers, contractors, attorneys, and other specialists, when the need arises. Teamed with his wife Nobuko, their many years of experience and knowledge of the Real Estate industry, make them a great pair to rely on for top-notch service. | |
